METAL MAGIC: What to Expect from ALUMINIUM 2024
Bar ohne Namen

The countdown is on – soon, ALUMINIUM will open the doors of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Halls to bring together international industry players, pioneers, start-ups, and customers along the entire value chain of the material. A comprehensive programme of lectures, panel discussions, and workshops offers deep insights into the current challenges and opportunities facing the industry. Leading experts – from producers and processors to scientists and technology providers – will present their latest research findings and technological innovations.
With over 780 exhibitors from around the world, this year's exhibition returns to its former size, reinforcing its reputation as a leading networking platform. Among the exhibitors are not only renowned German pioneers like TRIMET and the SMS group but also leading companies from Austria such as AMAG, HAI, and IMA Schelling. Additionally, international industry giants like Norsk Hydro from Norway, Rio Tinto from Spain, Gränges from Sweden, ElvalHalcor from Greece, and Novelis and Alcoa from the USA are represented.
Three Days of Full Programme
As the leading platform in the industry, ALUMINIUM 2024 provides answers to the pressing questions and challenges of our time, not only from the exhibitors. Visitors can look forward to a comprehensive supporting programme over all three exhibition days, tailored to the thematic focuses of each hall.
Halls 1 and 4 are dedicated to semi-finished products, while Hall 5 focuses on furnace construction, metalworking, joining technologies, and automation. Hall 3 highlights surface treatment and rolling technology, including the Surface Pavilion and the Surface & Design Lounge. Hall 6 revolves around casting and heat treatments, furnace construction, primary production, and recycling. Here, visitors will find the Primary and Foundry Pavilion, as well as the Foundry Community Café, an ideal place for networking and exchange. Another highlight is the relaunched Media & Education Lounge in Hall 6, which offers a retreat with ample reading material and valuable insights about aluminium. Information on continuing education opportunities and skills shortages is also provided, with a special programme planned for students and apprentices.
Under the motto "Women can do aluminium, too," the "Women With Metal – ALUMINIUM Awards" will be presented for the first time on the 9th of October. These awards aim to promote equality and diversity within the aluminium industry, honour outstanding achievements by women, and strengthen their position in the sector. The awards can also help raise awareness of skills shortages and encourage innovative solutions. By empowering women to establish themselves in the aluminium industry, the shortage of skilled professionals can be addressed, enhancing the competitiveness of the sector.
ALUMINIUM Conference – Actively Shaping the Future
This year's ALUMINIUM Conference, organised by Aluminium Deutschland, provides a platform for high-calibre experts from industry, science, and politics. From leading figures in the aluminium industry to pioneers from the automotive, construction, and packaging sectors, the line-up of speakers ensures an informed discussion on aluminium's crucial role in the future of various industries.
