• Implemented solutions, pilot projects, prototype or validated innovations in market within the last 48 months and should clearly demonstrate the innovations, impact and relevance to the aluminium industry.
• Entries from aluminium producers, processors, machinery manufacturers, technology providers and supply-chain partners who are exhibiting at ALUMINIUM 2026
• Innovations at different stages of maturity, from early deployment to full-scale use

Voting will be open in September and will be open to the aluminium sector public vote.

The Awards aim to recognise real innovation that is making a difference and the teams behind those ideas.

By entering, you have the opportunity to:  

• Gain recognition for innovation that delivers real-world impact Your work will be showcased to the industry, those who understand the practical challenges of aluminium manufacturing and processing.
• Showcase your company’s innovation: Entries are judged on clarity, relevance, and impact - not on budget, presentation, or polish.  
• Raise visibility with customers and partners: Shortlisted* / winning entries will be highlighted as examples of best practice and forward-thinking innovation within the industry.
• Enhanced exposure and reach: Shortlisted* / winning entries will be part of an awards campaign by International Aluminium Journal & ALUMINIUM Global Exhibition, including social, online and in print news, and highlighted onsite at the event. 
• Award winners will be recognised and announced at the Awards ceremony taking place at ALUMINIUM on the 6-8 October 2026. Winners will receive a trophy, winners’ logos and social posts. The winners will be featured in Aluminium Journal's follow-up report after the event and receive an exclusive offer for an additional communication package. 
• Take part with minimal time investment: The entry process is intentionally simple. A strong entry can be completed in under 15 minutes.

Whether your innovation is fully implemented, recently deployed, or proven through a pilot project, the ALUMINIUM Innovation Awards provide a credible platform to recognise progress, ingenuity, and leadership in the aluminium sector.

*Whether there will be a shortlist depends on the number of entries.  

The Innovation Award Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at ALUMINIUM 2026 Dusseldorf, on the first day 6th October 2026.
