Tomra: The future belongs to efficient sorting technologies

Bar ohne Namen

Terence Keyworth, Segment Director Metal, Tomra, about ALUMINIUM 2024

The ALUMINIUM trade fair is a firm fixture in our diary and we are delighted to be back again in 2024. A lot has happened since the last trade fair and we can clearly feel the upturn in the industry, particularly due to the increasing demand for green aluminium.

The exchange with our customers shows us time and time again that higher recycling rates for aluminium are becoming increasingly important - reducing energy consumption is a key issue. At Tomra, we firmly believe that the future lies in modern and efficient sorting technologies to close the aluminium loop. We are proud to be at the cutting edge with our machines. At ALUMINIUM 2024, we will be demonstrating what is already technically possible today.

An excellent example of this is our latest innovation "Autosort Pulse" with our specially developed dynamic LIBS technology. We realised that we needed a solution to reduce the downcycling of materials. After an extensive development phase, we were able to add "Autosort Pulse" to our product portfolio last year. With this technology, we offer the best solution for sorting aluminium scrap by alloy.

A particular highlight is the sorting of alloy classes 5000/5xxx and 6000/6xxx. We can even sort overlapping and neighbouring objects efficiently with the help of artificial intelligence-based technology. The feedback from our first customers has been overwhelming, so we can now say with certainty: Our "Autosort Pulse" will be the top topic at our trade fair stand this year. But our other aluminium sorting systems, such as the X-tract X-ray solution for precise separation of aluminium and heavy metals are also worth a visit! During development, we benefited from our many years of experience in metal recycling, which is also highly valued by our customers. Come and see for yourself! We look forward to meeting you in person in Hall 6, Stand F19 to talk about the best sorting technology of tomorrow.

If you don't want to wait until the show, you can take a look at some information about our "Autosort Pulse" in advance:
