Mobility of the future: Speira joins the Alumobility initiative

Aluminium rolling and recycling company Speira has joined the Alumobility initiative to drive the use of aluminium in vehicles to support lighter, more sustainable mobility of the future. For the initiative, a number of aluminium companies and technology partners have joined forces to drive the use of aluminium among car manufacturers.

Speira, a global aluminium rolling and recycling company, has joined Alumobility – a global ecosystem of leading aluminium and downstream technology partners focused on promoting the use of aluminium by automotive manufacturers. Speira will be one of three full members, alongside founding aluminium producers Constellium and Novelis.

Sustainable mobility of the future

By joining Alumobility, Speira aims to advance the use of aluminium in vehicles for lighter and more sustainable future mobility. The company sees the initiative's commitment as an important step in its ambitions towards low-carbon mobility.

As a leader in aluminium rolling and recycling, Speira places a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation, making it a good fit with Alumobility, which is committed to educating the automotive industry about the benefits of aluminium in developing lighter, safer, smarter and more sustainable vehicles.

Like the other full members, Speira will provide resources to support Alumobility's work and projects. Pascal Wagner, Head of the Automotive Business Unit at Speira, is also active as a board member of Alumobility.

Fischer Group also on board

Alumobility welcomes Fischer Group as a new member alongside Speira and sees the two companies as valuable in further enhancing the organisation and the value it offers to automotive manufacturers. New associate member Fischer Group adds to Alumobility's expertise as a leader in aluminium hot forming, offering new opportunities in the design of lightweight yet strong automotive components.
