Good news: ALUMINIUM 2020 can take place
Trade fairs can take place again in North Rhine-Westphalia / GERMANY starting from 30 May 2020. This is a signal everyone's been waiting for. One thing is certain: ALUMINIUM 2020 will take place.
After months of "shutdown", an entire industry will be back at the start when ALUMINIUM 2020 takes place in Düsseldorf from 6 to 8 October. In recent months, more than 2,500 trade fairs worldwide have been cancelled or postponed due to the corona pandemic, including numerous industrial trade fairs. As one of the first international trade fairs, ALUMINIUM marks a turning point and a new start.
On the political level, Reed Exhibitions, organiser of ALUMINUM, is in direct dialogue. The aim is to formulate regulations and safety standards on the basis of which trade fairs can take place with official approval.
Initial spark for the new start of the economy
The industry has been hit hard by the pandemic and the lockdown worldwide. Right now, trade fairs are one of the fastest instruments for economic recovery and provide the initial spark for a fresh start to the economy. As an innovation and business platform, ALUMINIUM 2020 provides the urgently needed impetus for the revitalisation of the aluminium industry in the short and medium term.
