    ALUMINIUM 2014: focus on sustainability and international markets

    Global aluminium consumption is growing steadily. Above all the transport sector is driving growth, with CO2 reduction targets in Europe and the US accelerating demand for lightweight base materials. But the construction and packaging sectors are showing excellent growth rates, as well. This increasing demand from all application sectors will also be felt at the industry’s largest trade fair worldwide, ALUMINIUM 2014. About 950 exhibitors from 50 nations are expected at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre from 7 to 9 October – a new record.

    Premiere: International Forum at ALUMINIUM 2014

    From 7 to 9 October, more than 50 nations will represent the entire world of aluminium at ALUMINIUM 2014 in Düsseldorf. With more than 950 exhibitors and as many as 21,500 visitors at the last event – some 50% of them from outside Germany – the World Fair provides the most comprehensive overview of the industry and emerging markets. The trade fair’s new “International Forum” will put the spotlight on two of them: China and India.

    ALUMINIUM 2014: Debut for the Recycling Pavilion

    “Urban Mining” is gaining in importance in the aluminium industry. The recycling ratios in application industries such as automotive or construction have meanwhile reached about 95 percent, and more than 60 percent in packaging.

    ALUMINIUM BRAZIL 2014 ends successfully

    43 international companies from Europe, the Middle East and Asia exhibited 2014 during the second edition of ALUMINIUM BRAZIL in São Paulo, Brazil. The aluminium show took place from 1st till 3rd April as part of the EXPOALUMÍNIO, which was able to expand its number of exhibitors by 40 per cent (2012:120).

    ALUMINIUM World Trade Fair continues on growth course in 2014

    The ALUMINIUM World Fair is preparing for its 10th edition, to be held in Düsseldorf from 7 to 9 October. Seven months before the world’s largest industry meeting place is due to open, almost 700 international exhibitors have registered for participation, and more than 80 percent of the exhibition space has already been booked.
