Leiber: Aluminium processing “Made in Germany”

Bar ohne Namen

Dr. Rolf Leiber, Managing Director Leiber Group, about ALUMINIUM 2024

For us, ALUMINIUM is the central showcase of the aluminium world. We are delighted to have the relevant and internationally respected trade fair in our own country and to be able to show what aluminium processing “Made in Germany” can achieve.

The focus of the Leiber exhibition stand will be on showcasing the range of our company's forging and processing expertise, both in terms of application areas and technical skills such as simulation, manufacturing processes, surface technology, technical cleanliness and component assembly. We have forged our own term to summarize this: “AluBility”. A special focus is on the topic of materials technology, new aluminium alloy developments that complement the in-house Leiber alloy types within the EN AW-6061A standard alloys.

For the current situation, I would like to see more pragmatism from everyone involved. Of course, forging technology is facing major challenges. We are all aware of the key points. But complaining won't get us anywhere. I am convinced that yes, we still have skills which can and will enable us to be successful. The material aluminium makes it somewhat easier for us compared to manufacturers of other metals. And yes, we need reliable framework conditions, which politicians and legislation must create for us. So come on, what are we waiting for? Everyone does what they do best: Politicians provide the infrastructure and reduce the administrative burden. We can do the rest: To manufacture high-quality products that are in demand worldwide in native yet innovative companies - that is the spirit that has already carried us medium-sized metalworking companies through many crises.
